In every building project there is some type of blueprint. Whether that blueprint is on a brown paper sack or a huge scroll that meets the codes’ guidelines, there is always an idea behind what is going to be built. In Genesis 11, we find a people laying out the plans for a rather noteworthy project.
Man prides himself in what he builds. It is his trophy on the shelf, a staple of hard work and dedication. Soft hands and fishy handshakes are not welcomed to the builder of great things. His tools are his closest friends and his materials are common companions, but at the end of the day his greatest joy is found in his product. He is proud of his work, and his labor merits a good night’s rest.
