Destruction starts small and happens slowly. The point is that the slothful man’s problem in Proverbs 24 could have been corrected a long time ago if he had wanted it to be. We need to learn to be honest with ourselves. We need to learn to act when we first notice a change, when we first notice that indicator of trouble, and when our hearts seem to be deceptive.
The Danger of Shipwreck
As I ran along the coast in a Florida community some time ago I saw one of the most vivid reminders of the dangers of life. The sun was shining bright and the skies were clear.
